October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (“NDEA”). About 61 million – or 1 in 4 – adults in the U.S. live with a disability, and they represent all races, classes and cultures. People with disabilities comprise almost 26% of the U.S. population, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The theme for this year’s National Disability Employment Awareness Month is Disability: Part of the Equity Equation. ALA Gateway supports and encourages all of our member firms and business partners to support hiring and enhancing the professional, personal, and career development of people with disabilities. #Everyonebelongs
